Digital DataVoice is looking to select a talented Cisco Voice Engineer to join our professional services group. The group operates with an entrepreneurial spirit, providing best in class self-service solutions to Fortune 1000 customers: allowing new ideas, strategies and execution plans to be heard amongst peers and put in practice.

As a Team Member, the Cisco Voice Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, and testing of solutions. This includes product planning and implementation; mentoring other staff; process improvement and other related engineering duties as required.

Within this role you will:

  • Provide design, consulting, and implementation and support services.
  • Spend the majority of your time in a billing capacity but some pre-sales engineering will be expected.
  • Partner with members of the designated consulting and engineering teams as well as operate with a high degree of independence.
  • Consult, assess or audit, design and interview customers to determine highly technical requirements and provide regular status reports on tasks accomplished, current issues, and progress toward goals.
  • Be expected to take a proactive approach in provisioning bandwidth to meet needs or determine if more analysis is required in order to determine types of bandwidth usage.
  • Be responsible for applying business development skills to identify potential sales leads and opportunities and communicate discovered opportunities to the regional sales team.
  • Install, configure and manage Cisco Call Manager and Unity configurations as well as configure and maintain SRST, QoS, Voice Routing Protocols, and Voice Gateways.
  • Be responsible for maintaining efficient and trouble free operation of all local and remote data communication along with up-to-date documentation of network design, operation and procedure manuals.

The successful candidate will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 to 5 years hands on Cisco Voice Engineer experience including UCCE and UCCX environments.
  • Demonstrated Cisco analysis and design experience in IP Telephony system administration, configuration and implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge in IP networking, LAN/WAN Switching, and QoS techniques.
  • Solid background in professional services or considerable experience in a pre-sales engineering role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate, demonstrate and present proposals to our clients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deployment services environment.
  • CCVP or equivalent experience is required; CCIE Voice is a major plus!
  • Extensive experience in analysis, design, implementation and support of Cisco voice over IP (VoIP) system solutions including multiservice infrastructure, Cisco Call Manager, Unity Unified Messaging, IP Gateways, legacy integration with traditional PBX systems and other voice components.
  • Ability to work as a team player on operations and engineering fulfillment teams.

Preferred additional experience:

  • Knowledge of traditional TDM PBX systems currently in regular production (Avaya, Nortel, etc).
  • Experience with CVP and/or legacy IVR or CTI technologies.
